Dear Jane quilt

Got my Dear Jane quilt book yesterday :)

I really liked it before I could even quilt, but now for what colours to use. Random is nice but I saw some other really nice ones on google picture search, one of them is a black & white one but I also saw a nice red white and blue one, am even tempted to do the border triangles in orange ;) 

My favorite coulor is purple and I wonder to use that with black or green or even both... should just attempt to start and see how it looks or not ;)

Have any of you ever made this? 

CCN houses update....

I'm still busy with June but I promised you an update of the other houses I already did.
Here are January until May:

Snowman still needs eyes but I fail at making french knots...

Also still pondering what to do with them, do them as a wall hanging/flat fold alone or per season....

Attempted a Tilda Tree

Loom knitted some candle holders (made two red ones and a green one)

I managed to finish putting together all the bits of my first quilt but I don't have a picture of it only this one with one side missing. Will post that soon since I hopefully be starting with stitching the layers this week.

And am very behind with my CCN cottages... Here an update on June

The day is almost over here but I just now realized it was Bram Stokers 165th birthday.

So what have I been upto...

• Very behind on my CCN Cottages (will post the ones I have done soon)
• Started quilting, I almost finished a pincushin but I messed it up a bit. Next week meeting #2 so I can ask where did I go wrong ;)
• Writing some letters & (postcrossing) cards
• Started on making my Christmas cards

I received my CCN June pattern Saturday and realised I was not yet done with April !

SO I managed to finish it yesterday




and also start on May




And I need to think of what to do on the back of these two, they will become envelopes. This is the front, have got very cute fabric for the inside. Will post the result before they go ;)

This is block 1 and as you can see on the right I started with the border for block 2. It is a total of 12 blocks and this is how it looks when it's done:
